Obituary of Reginald Garrett Smith

Reginald Garrett Smith, age 89, of Loretto, Syracuse, New York died Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. Reginald was born September 29, 1913 in East Syracuse, New York, the son of Roy C. and Myrtie (Jones) Smith. He was a taxi driver and owner of Ace Taxi, Syracuse, New York for 25 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Columbian Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Pastime Athletic Club. He was predeceased in 1998 by both his wife, Edith I. Franz, of 64 years; and his daughter, Judie Lenning. Mr. Smith is survived by his two daughters, Susan Barduhn and her husband Casey of Romulus, New York and Sally I. Cook and her husband John of Arlington, Vermont; son-in-law, Tracy Lenning, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service: Friday, February 21, 2003, 11:00 a.m. at Columbian Presbyterian Church, Corner of Rt. 20 & Rt. 11, LaFayette, New York. Spring burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Berwyn, New York.
