Obituary of Parker Hamblin White

Parker Hamblin White, age 89, of Syracuse died Tuesday, November 12, 2002 at home. Parker was born February 5, 1913 in Pleasant Valley, New York, the son of Henry and Lena (Hamblin) White. He attended George Eastman High School in Waterville, New York. He retired in 1974 from Bristol Labroratory after 30 years and made Colt 45s at Remington Rand during World War II. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in Wild River, Idaho in 1933. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Gladys M. Crass; one daughter: Sandra Clark Everett of Scarborough, Maine; one son: David Parker White of Syracuse, New York; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Memorial Service: Friday, November 15, 2002. 6:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, New York with Rev. Barbara Sterling officiating.
