Obituary of Roberta G. Thompson

Roberta Gaye Thompson, age 72, of Kirkville, New York died Sunday, October 13, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse, New York. Roberta was born May 20, 1930 in Vestal, New York, the daughter of Clyde C. and Vera M. (Eldrid) Thompson. She was a graduate of Vestal High School. She retired from the U. S. Postal Service with over 20 years of service, retiring from the Taft Road branch. She was a member of American Postal Workers Union and the Bridgeport Lyons Club. Mrs. Thompson is survived by two daughters, Carey E. Sevier of Marietta, New York and Mary R. Barnhart of Delaware; three sons: Lyle J. Hobart of Central Pennsylvania, Clyde T. Hobart and John K. Hobart both of Otisco, New York; one brother, Clyde C. Thompson Jr. of North Carolina; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Funeral: Thursday, October 17, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Richard Brown officiating. Burial: Friday, October 18, 2002, 11:00 a.m. in Riverhurst Cemetery, Main Street, Endwell, New York.
