Obituary of Stephen Kent Fifield

Stephen Kent Fifield, age 57, of 5008 October Drive, Onondaga Hill, New York died Wednesday, October 2, 2002 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill. Stephen was born December 20, 1944 in Syracuse, New York, the son of George P. and Mildred B. (Shaw) Fifield. He graduated from Onondaga Valley Academy and attended Syracuse University. He retired April of 2001 as Director of Information Technology at Smith Corona, Cortland, New York where he worked 34 years. He was a former treasurer for Cub Scout Pack 36, a basketball coach for Valley Junior Athletic Association for seven years and he bowled in the Smith Corona Bowling League in Syracuse, New York. He served in the Army with the rank of sergeant during the Vietnam war. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Margaret B. (Gwilliam) Fifield; one daughter: Kelly A Fifield of Onondaga Hill, New York; one son, Michael S. Fifield of Horseheads, New York; two sisters, Cynthia Fifield of LaCoste, Texas and Shirley Smith of Liverpool, New York; two brothers, Robert Fifield of Onondaga Hill, New York and Jack Fifield of Syracuse, New York.
