Obituary of Harriet Cornue Freeman

Harriet Whitley Cornue Freeman, age 88, of Brighton Towers, Syracuse, New York, died Monday, September 30, 2002 at home. Harriet was born August 28, 1914 in Spencer, New York, the daughter of Elbert and Sarah Jane (McMillen) Whitley. She lived in Jamesville, New York most of her life. She was employed by Cortland Line Company and Jamesville-Dewitt School District. She was a member and past president of Jamesville Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a member of Tully Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxilliary. She was a longtime member of Jamesville Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cornue in 1969 and a daughter, Marriette Thompson in 1994. Mrs. Freeman is survived by one daughter, Martha A. Smith of Benicia, California; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
