Obituary of Shannon Elizabeth Thomas

Shannon Elizabeth Thomas, age 16, of LaFayette, New York, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. Shannon was born October 17, 1985, in Syracuse, New York. She was a junior at LaFayette Jr./Sr. High School where she participated in cheerleading and softball. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, William "Bud" Aungier. She is survived by her parents, Kim P. and Cynthia L. (Aungier) Thomas of LaFayette; two sisters: Michelle L. Shute of LaFayette, New York and Colleen M. Derby of Syracuse, New York; two brothers: David M. Thomas and Brandon P. Thomas both of LaFayette, New York; maternal grandmother, Barbara Aungier of LaFayette, New York; maternal great-grandmother, Harriet Hicks of Cortland, New York; paternal grandparents, Ray & Leona Thomas of LaFayette, New York; paternal great-grandmother, Pearl Compton of LaFayette, New York; several aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and two nephews. Funeral: Saturday, June 22, 2002, 12:00 noon in St. Michael's Church, 4782 W. Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Michael Minehan.
