Obituary of Russell Charles Hill

Russell Charles Hill, age 45, of Brewerton, New York, died Monday, May 27, 2002 at University Hospital, Syracuse, New York after a long illness. Mr. Hill was born May 22, 1957 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Charles R. and Carol (Thompson) Hill. He was a Native American from the Onondaga Nation. He was employed by several companies, including, Westcott Weatherization; Stonefield Maintenance, VIP Maintenance; The Great Northern Mall, Building Wide Maintenance; Halls Funeral Home, Price Chopper; Marshall's, Central City Roofing; Fly Road Medical Center; Midstate Contracting; Ames Department Store; East Syracuse Bowling Alley; The Department of Motor Vehicles; The New York State Thruway Building; and the Hancock Airport. He attended the Wesleyan Church of Mallory, New York. He is survived by his wife, Joanie Hill of Brewerton, New York; two stepsons, Scott Miller of Hastings, New York and Eric Lewis of East Syracuse, New York; his mother, Carol Hill of Nedrow, New York; two sisters: Brenda Hill and Victoria Coons both of Nedrow, New York; three brothers: Lowell Hill and Joseph Hill both of Nedrow, New York, Charles Hill of Onondaga Nation; one step granddaughter, several brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral: Thursday, May 30, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Clair Day officiating. Burial: Onondaga Nation Cemetery. Calling Hours: Wednesday, May 29, 2002, 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY.
