Obituary of Lois E. Gale

Lois E. Gale, age 80, of Syracuse, New York died Monday, March 18, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. Mrs. Gale was born September 12, 1921 in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of Harold and Edna (Yates) McGuire. She was the wife of Carl C. Gale who passed away June 25, 1982. Lois was a hard worker. She worked for Walgreen Drug Co Luncheonette for 19 years, retiring in 1967. She was manager of the luncheonette for 3 years. She was an active mother in her children?s schools. She was President of the PTO at Meachem School and was also President of the PTSO at Corcoran High School in 1986. She belonged to Women of the Moose Chapter #105 and served a year as Senior Regent. Then Illness set in and she had to resign. She loved being around her grandchildren. She always claimed that they were what kept her going. She is survived by her two daughters, Lois Edna Gale DeCarlo and Christine Ann Gale Nordman from Syracuse, New York; one son, Carl G. Gale from Fayetteville, New York; one brother, Robert L. McGuire from Syracuse, New York; eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Funeral: Thursday, March 21, 2002, 10:30 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., Syracuse and 11:00 a.m. in St. James Church, 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Daniel J. O'Hara. Burial: Onondaga Valley Cemetery, Syracuse.
