Obituary of Nicholas Ruzekowicz

Nicholas Ruzekowicz Sr., age 80, of Jamesville, New York died Wednesday, January 23, 2002 at Community General Hospital, Syracuse, New York. Mr. Ruzekowicz was born December 17, 1921 in Syracuse, New York, the son of Joseph and Tillie Ruzekowicz. He served in the Navy during World War II. He retired in 1986 from Callanan Industries in Canastota, New York. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 60 for more than 50 years. He was a communicant of St. Mary?s Church, Jamesville, New York. His wife of 48 years, the former Mary Dobreski preceded him in death October 15, 1989. Mr. Ruzekowicz is survived by two daughters: Mary Jane Sheriff from Elbridge, New York and Patricia Burden from Jamesville, New York; one son: Nicholas J. Ruzekowicz Jr. from Jamesville, New Yokrk; 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral: Friday, January 25, 2002, 9:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 6437 E. Seneca Turnpike, Jamesville where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Raymond B. Wood. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, 4100 E. Genesee Street, Dewitt, New York.
