Obituary of Irving Eugene Bishop

Irving Eugene Bishop, age 73, of Liverpool, New York died Sunday, December 23, 2001 at home. Mr. Bishop was born January 7, 1928 in Otisco, New York, the son of Ralph and Elizabeth (Niles) Bishop. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served with the 38th Seabees. He retired in 1983 as a tractor-trailer driver for Schuster Express. He previously worked for Red Star. He was a member of Local 317 Teamsters for 48 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Ina M. McGrail; five daughters: Delores Davis from Mercede, California, Donna Bishop from Auburn, New York, Charlotte Barss from Green Acres, Washington, Cindy Pascarella from Cicero, New York and Mary Chairvolotti from Cicero, New York; five sons: Ralph Bishop from Tully, New York, Chuck Chilson from Brunswick, Georgia, Harold Bishop from Parish, New York, Roy Chilson from Charlotteville, Virginia and Paul Bishop from Rowesville, South Carolina; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. A son, Irving Jr., died in 1998. The funeral will be Thursday, December 27, 2001, 1:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette with Pastor Scott Kavanagh officiating. Spring Burial will be in Vesper Cemetery, Vesper, New York. Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 26, 2001, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette, NY. Memorials may be made to American Heart Assoc.
