Obituary of Duane E. Snell

Duane E. Snell, 80, of Mattydale, passed away on Saturday, August 19th with his family by his side. He was born in Camden, NY to Elizabeth (Sands) Shaw in 1943. In November of 1977 Duane married Sharon Blair. He loved boating and creating things with his hands. Duane was affectionately known as “snow ninja” around his neighborhood.

He is survived by; his wife of 44 years, Sharon (Blair) Snell, his daughters; Angela Blair, of Oswego, Rose (Jim) Bllew, of Alvarado, TX. and Kimberly Blair, of North Syracuse; his son; Eric Masters, of Syracuse; his sister; Laura Lombardo, of Central Square; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Per Duane’s wishes, there will be no services.

The family wishes to thank the Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY and Hospice of CNY for their care and support during this time.
