Obituary of Thomas John Kellish

Thomas J.Kellish of Lafayette, NY passed away September 5, 2023.  Born in Syracuse, he was raised in Pompey/Fabius, graduated from Fabius Pompey Class of 1959. He earned his B.S. Degree at Cornell University and following a two-year tour of duty with the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps was awarded his Juris Doctor Degree in 1968 from the University of Tulsa College of Law at Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He opened his own law office in Tully in March, 1972 where he practiced general law until he retired in 2019.  On June 13, 2019 The Board of Directors of the Onondaga County Bar Foundation honored Tom at their Fifty-Year Luncheon acknowledging his 50 years in the legal profession.  In 1989, he married Carol and together they built their home.  His passion for collecting, his love of growing things, always ready to try something new filled his life to its fullest. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene Kellish. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Carol. He leaves behind many family members and friends.

Calling hours will be from 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon on September 12th at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, Lafayette, NY.

A service will begin at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Pompey NY.

In lieu of flowers, Tom's request was to donate to any of the animal rescue organizations in CNY or plant a tree.
