Obituary of Anthony C. Barletta

Anthony Barletta , 92, Born in Carbondale Pa. was a resident of Jamesville NY since 1960, Anthony passed away on Friday, February 16th peacefully with family at his side after a brief illness. Anthony was a Volunteer Fireman for the Southwood Fire Department for 40 years and was extremely proud to be Fire Chief for several decades. Known as the “Mayor “of Southwood Tony was passionate about helping people in his community, always searching out those in need and helping families in times of crisis. When he wasn’t helping his neighbors, he would go downtown and search for homeless people and provide them with food and clothing and try to help get them shelter etc. He also had a passion for doing blacktop driveways and at the age of 92 he put in  8 blacktop driveways last year. Anthony was well known by many community leaders for his help/work in making the Resource Recovery Facility become a reality.

He is predeceased by his beloved Daughter Dianne and beloved wife Theresa. 

Anthony is survived by 4 Children: Linda Schad, Michael Barletta, Anthony Barletta, Lisa Barletta 5 Grandchildren: Christopher Barletta, Kimberly Schad, Kayla Hill,Michael Barletta, David Barletta. Great Grandson, Graham Hill.

His family is honoring his life privately, there will be no public calling hours. In his passion for helping the homeless,
