Obituary of Diane S. Groth

Diane (Sophie) Stolar Groth, 97, of LaFayette, passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2024 with her children at her side.  She was born in Liverpool, NY (youngest of ten children).  She worked at King Laboratories for years and other various jobs throughout her life, and later started her own house cleaning business.  A few of her hobbies were baking, crocheting, and being outdoors gardening, picking apples, berries and other various produce.  She loved sports, especially baseball.  Most of all she loved her boys and the grandchildren.  She hated moving (although she did it 29 times!). 

She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick A. Groth Jr. in 1976.

She is survived by her two sons, Frederick (Lori) Groth III , Mark (Candice) Groth; grandson, Cuyler (Lauren) Groth and their son, Weston; granddaughter, Kelseigh Groth; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and burial will be in the Spring.
