I never met Marcy Singer, but I want to express my condolences to her family, some of whom I met years ago. At that time, I had the pleasure of getting to know Marcy’s sister, Dorothy Gallagher, in my role as a volunteer pastoral visitor at Van Duyn Nursing Home. I learned so much from Dorothy during our weekly visits. I’ve never forgotten her. I also would like to pass on condolences from two current residents at Loretto Sedgewick. Although Linda Trim had not known Marcy for very long, she told me, “I lost a dear friend. She was funny. She was cute. And she was fussy if her food was not hot enough. But we laughed together and ate all our meals together at the same table. I miss her.” Chuck House knew Marcy for quite some time. He ate meals at that same table. He told me: “Oh, Marcy, she’s my friend, my buddy, my girl. I enjoyed taking her to and from her meals and helping her with anything she needed. Watching out for her. That’s what I did.” Sigh…..age and the diminishing of faculties does not limit the ability to love and be kind to each other. Love and Prayers, Thomas Mueller

Thank you for your condolences Tom; I remember you from your visits with Dorothy (my mother) at Van Duyn. Dorothy always enjoyed her conversations with you! My Aunt Marcy was very picky about the temperature of her food, so Linda’s comment is totally correct :). And Chuck was a wonderful friend to Marcy! His friendship, care, and concern for her over the years was very much appreciated by her family. ❤️

My deepest Sympathy to Marcy's family. A long time ago I use to cut Marcy's hair. She was a pleasure to be around full of laughs. One time when when she cam she had mention that her hair was long and awful and that she should have a bag over her head, in she walked with a brown bag over her head. To this day a brown bag makes me think of her. May she Rest in Peace. Sharon Williams
