We were saddened to learn of the passing of your husband, son and brother, Robert. We were consumed with the illness of our mother at the time of his calling. We share in your sadness and realize that it is only faith in God and heaven that will health our wounds. May God help us with each tear that falls. Much love,DuckieKathleen McGinn Hammer

Being older and living away from Syracuse, I didn't spend as much time with Bob as I would have liked to, but I still miss him very much. I especially remember the card games that brought out his competitive streak and drove his sisters crazy. It was fun, even if it was irritating that he was so good at it. But he was good at many things and he encouraged his sons to be their best as well. I remember how quickly Matt and Dean became advanced card players, and super students and great atheletes under his tutelage. I also remember his constant, genuine pride in the boys. I am amazed at his courage in facing his illness and I clearly recall that his greatest concern, when he understood the seriousness of the illness, was for his three children. I am sad that Eli will not know him in the same way that Matt and Dean were able to, but I know Matt and Dean will still experience great loss. We have to remember that his spirit will remain with all of us if we pay attention to it. I am also amazed at Linda's courage and strength over the last year. I know that Bob had complete faith in her and in all of the people willing to help his family. The words that come to my mind, when I think of Bob, are: ""Be not afraid - I am with you always. Come follow me and I will give you peace."" Bob accepted God's will and was grateful for the time he had in this life, He was a really good guy, am I am glad that his suffering is over.

I metBob while I was a tester at Philips. He was always a professional and especially a gentlemen. He was always willing to take time to explain any questions about why something was happening. He was a private person but he also was ready and willing to help in any way he could . Bob Linda and I watched each others families grow. My grandchildren and their boys. I will always cherish the years we worked together. The help I received from Bob and Linda as I worked my way through the Philip's years was what made the journey easier and very special. My prayers are with the family

I met Bob on my very first day at work at Magnavox back in 1984. I came in at 9:00, and he immediately called me into his office; apparently I was supposed to start work at 7. Being brand new, I felt that my chances of making a good impression with him just went up in smoke, and it would take a long time for me to gain his confidence and respect. That was far from the case, he just seemed to push the incident aside, and did not allow my initial tardiness to effect his introduction of me into the company. That gave me the opportunity to concentrate on my new job and not have to worry about being fired right off the bat. Because of Bob, I stayed with the company for 18 years.Over the years at Philips, I heard people describe Bob as distant, or that he had no sense of humor. I knew a different man. Bob was private, but he was a man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a man who enjoyed a good joke, and had a dry, cutting sense of humor that I had many occasions to enjoy.Every time that someone left Philips, the one thing that everyone seemed to miss was the people. There were a lot good group of people assembled there, and I have always included Bob in that category.God Bless Bob, Linda, and their family.

I had the pleasure of working with both Bob & Linda while at Philips Broadband Networks. The great love and respect they shared together, and with their sons, was visibly evident to those whose lives they touched. Professionally Bob was truly a "go to" guy. Efficient, knowledgeable and usually extremely busy, Bob was always willing to take a moment and share that knowledge or help out in some way. Personally it was his kind demeanor and good nature I always admired. He showed great compassion during a very difficult period in my life and took the time to share his memories of Tim with the Badger family after his passing. We were blessed to know Bob, if only for a moment. Linda, you and the boys, and your families are in my thoughts and prayers. May faith sustain you and love surround you all the days of your life. God Bless.

A note to express my deepest symphony to Linda and all of the Krupka family. I only knew Bob a short while at Phillips but grew to like him very quickly. His self-assured and quiet nature set him apart from the others. He was obviously a man who touched many and will be missed by many.

Matthew 5:14 14"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.A righteous man, who had a pure heart, and a light that shined for everyone to see. He will be missed.Rodney

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing.Bob interviewed and hired me at Philips back in 1988. I was a long haired, young kid who was looking for an opportunity to prove himself. Bob was instrumental in helping me grow professionally. His dry wit, understanding and kind nature made him a unique and very positive influence in my life. My heart goes out to his family during this very difficult time.

When I look back at my career at Philips, I would have to say without a doubt that Bob was the most positive influence in my professional career. His confidence and belief in my abilities did a great deal to give me the courage to take on responsibilities that I would not even have considered facing without his support. His presence in my life made a difference. He will be missed.
