Aunt Alberta has been a constant in our family for as long as I remember. As one of my mother's older sisters I have many memories of the two of them busy in the kitchen together at holiday gatherings. She had her special dishes and was always in charge of making the gravy. She was an expert knitter and in between projects throughout the year would make mittens of all colors and sizes to donate to the Rescue Mission. When my children were young, a pair of Aunt Alberta's mittens were a treasured possession. Not like anything in the stores! Her absence will be felt and her memory always cherished. Our lives have been enriched by having her as an aunt.
