I wish to send our heartfelt sympathies to the Reed Family on your loss. Mike was truely a friend and a great collegue. An amazing supporter for our special needs child. He was a wonderful man with a great heart. Thank you Mike for sharing your knowledge with me first as a student, and then as your collegue. He will always be remembered in our thoughts and prayers.

Although I didn't know your father Brock, I know what kind of man you turned out to be and I know that your father must of been very proud of you. The hardest thing in life is saying good buy to your parents, relatives, and friends, but there's comfort in knowing that one day we'll all be together again. We keep those we love alive with our fond memories of our short time together. God bless you and your family in this time of loss.

This is my 20th year at FM. During some of my early years, while working summer school, Mike would come in my room to chat. I remember him as a very caring gentleman who adored his family. My sincere sympathies to all of you.

Time was when you turned three, your special birthday gift was ME!Time was when you came home and found me singing, you would sing and dance like Elvis. How I would laugh!Time was when you came home and found me crying, you would do and say whatever it took to change my "crybaby" face. How I would laugh!Time was when I felt lonely or sad, you would simply mimic me with your face twisted in a frown. How I would laugh!Time was when you stood up for me-my protector as it were. Then, time was when you would help mom chase me as I ran under the bed, under the table and down the street. I knew that the razor strap and my bottom were soon to meet! How we would laugh!Time was when you went off to college. How I cried.Time was when we would sit in my home and talk for hours about everything or nothing. How I cherish those times.Time was when I needed help of any kind, there was always my brother Mick. How you loved me!Time was when I went through the unthinkable (stroke, three heart attacks, open heart surgery, totally disabled), you came and stayed with me. How you loved me!Time was! Time is! Time will be! I will never forget-- How you loved me!Your sister, Kathrynaka Toots)

I worked with Mike at the Fayetteville Elementary for many years. Mike was a true friend who will not be forgotten by many who worked with him. He had a teriffic sence of humor. I could write a book of stories about him. His greatest gift however was his big heart. The many ways he gave to others including his students is something I will forever remember. I'm honored to have had Mike as a dear friend. "The West Virginia Wollunteers went walking down the walley winning wictory after wictory all in wain" "Dr.... Dr..." Carol, Mickey, Brock, Andrew, Tamara, Arianna, Uncle Don, Aunt Lynn and the rest of your families my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Michael Reed was my 6th grade Homeroom and Social Studies teacher at Minoa Middle School (in the E. Syracuse-Minoa District) for the 1967-1968 school year. I also remember his wife Carol, who was my art teacher that same year. They were two of the nicest teachers I ever had. My sympathy to all the Reed family at your loss.

I will deeply miss "my favorite brother-in-law"! You always made me and my family feel welcome in your home. Your sense of humor was dry, but, the laughter was always there. I will never forget yourBetty Crocker joke Michael, when Carol first brought you home to meet the family for the very first time. I believe it was 39 years ago. It just won't be the same when we gather together for holidays and family gatherings. I love you.
