Obituary of Stephen James Powell

Stephen James Powell of Lafayette, New York and formerly of "The Valley" in Syracuse, New York died Friday, July 22, 2005 at Community General Hospital, Onondaga Hill, New York. Stephen was born May 15, 1946 in Oneonta, New York, the son of Walter James and Janet D. (Dales) Powell. He was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy. His wife the former Kathleen Galster died in 1998. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Jason (Michelle) Powell of Liverpool, New York; two daughters and son-in-law, Heather (Mark) Lydon of West Monroe, New York and Mary Powell of Lafayette, New York, his parents Walter J. and Janet Dales Powell of Syracuse, New York; a brother and sister-in-law, David (Amy) Powell of Peru, New York; a sister, Carol Powell of Castle Rock, Colorado; seven grandchildren and a niece, Carah Powell.
