Obituary of Anthony Douglas Honyoust

Anthony Douglas Honyoust, 40, of the Onondaga Nation, Beaver Clan, went home to the creator on Friday, July 8, 2005. Anthony was born June 11, 1965 in Syracuse, New York, the son of David Woodrow and Velda (Homer) Honyoust. He was employed by LaFayette School District at the Onondaga Nation School. He was Captain of the Onondaga Nation Vol. Fire Dept. which he was instrumental in rekindling, a member of Six Nations Agricultural Society and the Red Knights Motorcycle Club. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was an avid paintball player, a student of martial arts and a NYS certified security guard. His mother, Velda, died in 1991, his father, David, died in 2002 and his brother, David, died in 2003. Anthony is survived by his wife of 19 years, Mari (Gibson) Honyoust; two sons and a daughter, Anthony, Allias and Libbie Honyoust, all of the Onondaga Nation; four brothers, Curtis Waterman of the Onondaga Nation, David W. Honyoust of Cambridge, New York; Duane W. Honyoust of Buskirk, New York and Anthony Reese of Liverpool, New York; several nieces and nephews. Services: Monday, July 11, 2005, 11:00 a.m. in the Onondaga Nation Longhouse. Burial: Onondaga Nation Cemetery. Family and friends may call at their convenience to his home.
