Obituary of Robert J. Crangle

Robert James Crangle, 51, of Syracuse, New York passed away at Crouse Irving Hospital on Saturday, May 28, 2005 surrounded by his family and friends. Robert was born April 4, 1954 in Syracuse, New York, the son of James Robert and Clarissa I. (Fowler) Crangle. He graduated from Corcoran High School and Alfred State University. Bob married Janet Schmidt on July 22, 1978 in Fayetteville, New York. A resident of Onondaga Hill, he was a loving husband, father and friend to all who played golf in rain or shine. He will be greatly missed. Bob is survived by his wife Janet of 27 years and his sons Robert W. Crangle and Timothy D. Crangle; six sisters and their husbands, Barbara A. (Thomas) Planz, of Olive Bridge New York, Betty J. (David) Murphy of Centerport, New York, Kathleen H. "Freida" (Gus) Sidou of Holt Michigan, Marianne (Roland) Christy of Old Forge, New York, Annette (Michael) Fekete of Washington, D.C., and Jeanette (Richard) Beers of Rockville, Maryland; and five brothers and their wives, Thomas J. Crangle of Las Vegas, Nevada, Charles H. (Lisa) Crangle of Orlando, Florida, David P. (Sharon) Crangle of Silverthorne, Colorada, John Paul (Mary) Crangle of Syracuse, New York and William D. (Valorie) Crangle of Dillon, Colorado. He had many, many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. Bob was preceded in death by his father, James Robert Crangle on August 24, 1974 and his mother, Clarissa Fowler Crangle on April 28, 2005. Services: Tuesday, May 31, 2005, 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 300 Valley Drive, Syracuse, New York where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Thomas Fitzpatrick.
