Obituary of Richard F. Davidson

Richard F. Davidson, 67, of LaFayette, New York died Tuesday morning, February 1, 2005 at University Hospital, Syracuse, New York. Richard was born July 11, 1937 in Ellenville, New York, the son of Frank and Ruth (Aherns) Davidson. He was a graduate of Ithaca College and received his Masters Degree from SUNY Cortland. He was a teacher in the Cicero-North Syracuse School District for over thirty years. He was a supervisor of student teachers at SUNY Cortland, a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in LaFayette and a long-time member of the LaFayette Community Band. He was a veteran of the US Army. He loved children, Syracuse University sports and gardening. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen Maher Davidson, their nine children, Mary Beth, Daniel, Matthew, Christopher, James, Margaret, Lawrence and Kathleen Davidson and Monica Nicholas; twelve grandchildren; one brother, Robert Davidson and one sister, Barbara Terwilliger. Services: Friday, February 4, 2005, 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 6136 Cherry Valley Turnpike, LaFayette, New York. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Route 298, Cortland, New York.
