I was very sad to hear of the passing of RJ. My thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of the McElhannon family members. It has been a long time, but I have so many fond memories of bowling against RJ and Bob,Rick,Jamie, and Roger, and then we were teamates.Great times I'll never forget. I still remember RJ coming down to the ice cream stand when our family ran the business, thursday nights if I remember, with family members and RJ would be driving the old Lincoln. My thoughts are with all of you and your families. I'll never forget all of the times when I was young spent with Max (and Marian!) when I came out to visit my Mom (Carol Blum) and Benny. I always looked forward to the weekends when I could come to LaFayette for a visit. LaFayette has a lot of exceptional citizens and Max was no exception by any means. I remember all the times that he came to plow my driveway during heavy snow storms and how greatful I was that he showed up! He was such a thoughtful and caring man and I will NEVER forget him!!! My thoughts and prayers are with Marian, and all of you (Bobby, Jamie, Ricky and Roger, and your families too). Take care.

To the McElhannon Family,I am so sorry for your loss. Grandpa Mac was a wonderful man who will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. I will never forget the many years of 'Old Timers' games. We never did beat the men when Grandpa was on the team!My Prayers are with your family.~Kate Doupe
