Obituary of Kathryn Sancimino Hodson

Kathryn Sancimino Hodson, age 84, of LaFayette, New York died Sunday, May 9, 2004 at University Hospital, Syracuse, New York. Kathryn was born June 12, 1919 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of August and Augusta (Morotta) Sancimino. She was a resident of LaFayette since 1953. She worked as a seamstress in Brooklyn prior to her marriage, was a communicant of St. Joseph?s Church in LaFayette and one of the original pie bakers for the LaFayette Apple Festival until the present. She was a member of the Women of St. Joseph?s, an election Inspector for the LaFayette Districts and a member of the Retired and Veteran Railroad Retirees Association. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Kathryn was predeceased by an infant son, Joseph in 1960 and a granddaughter, Sara-Jean Hodson in 1986. Kathryn is survived by her husband, Ralph B. Hodson, whom she married May 6th 1945; three daughters: Mary Lou (David) Caples of Liverpool, New York, Kathy Gerber of Syracuse, New York and Rose (Dennis) Lundy of LaFayette, New York; five sons: Ralph Jr. (Carleen) Hodson of Baldwinsville, New York, Tom (Sandra) Hodson of Liverpool, New York, Paul (Debra) Hodson of Saratoga Springs, New York, Patrick (Mary Jean) Hodson of Baldwinsville, New York and John (Diane) Hodson of Middle Grove, New York; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
