Obituary of Linda R. Rheaume-Wellenc

Linda J. Rheaume-Wellenc, 43, of Marietta, New York passed away April 17, 2004 peacefully at home in the arms of her loving husband Gregory A. Wellenc. Linda was born September 7, 1960 in Syracuse, New York the daughter of Laurence and Jean (Padopoulos) Rheaume. She resided in Liverpool, New York most of her life and was a 1978 graduate of Liverpool High School. It was then that Linda and Gregory first met and later married on July 30, 1983 at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church; where she was also a member. Linda held a degree in Criminal Justice from Onondaga Community College and worked as the Deputy County Clerk for the County Clerks Office for more than 20 years. For the past year, Linda courageously fought and lost the battled with Melanoma cancer. Linda was a very ambitious and creative young woman whose passion for music and the arts filtered through her piano playing, sketching, paintings, and gardening, as well as modeling. Linda's greatest gift was her endless love and dedication for her family. Fueled by her incessant high spiritedness, Linda captured every moment and embraced life to the fullest. Linda leaves to cherish her memory: Gregory A, Wellenc, her beloved husband of 21 years and three beautiful children, Gregory (12), Timothy (10) and Alexandria (7); her mother and father, Jean and Larry Rheaume of Liverpool, New York; her in-laws Thaddeus and Elmira Wellenc of Liverpool, New York; two brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law and three nephews. Linda's radiance, beauty and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She was the bouquet of life that quenched our thirst. Hold onto her memory and keep her smile in mind. Services: Friday, April 30, 2004, 12:00 noon in St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 325 Waring Road, Syracuse, New York.
