I met Jean (Ma) about 5 years ago, and she welcomed me into her home as if we had been friends forever. Her daughter Janine brought us together and the love that Jean showed by opening her home and her arms to us, made me realize that she was a special lady that loved us all. That love overflowed to her family by the way they all connected and love each other and welcomed you into their family. Ma you will be sadly missed and thought about often. You excepted everyone no matter what! Miss you Amy

Jean was a very spunky, strong woman to me. I only met her once and she left an imprint on my mind of that kind of lady. Her daughter is my very dear friend and I know she will be sadly missed by her whole family. May you rest in Peace, Jean.

i have so many wonderful memories of Sylvia i don't know where to begin. To start with i am a friend of her daughters and i have also been a friend of Sylvia's for several years. She became more than a friend she was like a second mother to me, in fact i called her Ma. She was one of the most thoughtful, kind hearted ladies i ever knew.I remember several years ago when she was feeling well, how she loved to dance, and she was good at it too. I went to visit her several times a year with her daughter Janine and i always felt at home. Her love of animals won a special place in my heart, she proudly displayed my dog's pictures like she knew them and was always happy when i sent her new ones. She will always remain in my heart. Love and miss you Ma.

I've known Sylvia for several years when she would come in to Upstate for her routine check-ups. She always had a smile and a twinkler her eye. No matter how she was feeling, she was always pleasent and smiling..And would even joke with us. She WILL be missed by all of us here in Interventionsl Radiology at Upstate.

Jean was one of the kindest, most generous people I have known. I was her weekend nurse for over 2 years and always saved her visit for last so that I would have some time to sit & visit with her and Mickey. I also visited her many times after leaving that job.Jean loved animals and was always concerned for their well being and safety. My animal experience with Jean is documented at http://pjsdesigns.com/kittens/ . Jean loved those kitties and the bushy tail tiger and black kitty and two tiger kittens still live with me. I think of Jean every time I pet them. I pray that Jean is comfortable, well and happy where she is.
